PROSTATE CANCER SURGERY IN NIGERIA:

Laparoscopic Radical Prostatectomy

Laparoscopic Radical Prostatectomy (LRP) is now routinely available to Nigerians suffering from Prostate Cancer, thanks to Kelina Hospital who have added the services of Dr Njinou Ngninkeu Bertin to the list of specialists performing Minimally Invasive Surgery in the hospital. Dr Bertin has done over 2,000 robotic and laparoscopic prostate cancer surgeries worldwide.

Kelina Hospital was the first to carry out Laparoscopic Radical Prostatectomy for Prostate Cancer in Nigeria way back in 2012. They were also the first to do HoLEP surgery, a procedure which uses Holmium laser to remove enlarged prostate obstructing the flow of urine. This procedure was first done in October 2018 and since then, in 5 years, they have performed over 360 successful HoLEP surgeries on Nigerian and Foreign patients.

Kelina Hospital also does laser lithotripsy and PCNL for kidney stones, laparoscopic surgery for gallstones, appendix, hernia; laparoscopic surgery for uterine fibroids, ovarian cysts and other precision surgeries.

You may wish to take advantage of this opportunity rather than travelling abroad for a procedure we do locally in just 2 hours. Our patients eat their food the same day and go home after just 2 days following LRP.

PLEASE NOTE: Patients with metastatic prostate cancer are not suitable for LRP treatment.
